The Willows Theatre Company is thrilled to announce our 2010 season of plays and musicals at the conveniently located and intimate Campbell Theatre in Martinez. We hope you, your friends and your family will join us for a bright new future! As we move our mainstage operations to the Campbell Theatre in Martinez, we look forward to having you join us for a season of shows that look back at where we’ve been and light the way toward a fabulous future.
We open in January with a look back at one of the most popular shows in Willows Theatre history: the dramatic musical Brimstone. We can’t wait for you to experience this epic love story set against the tumultuous backdrop of Northern Ireland in the 1980’s. Discover romance, drama, and surprising humor in this magical story from the author of John Muir’s Mountain Day.
Next, we are so excited to present a new musical,8-Track: The Sounds of the 70’s. Jump back in time with us as we revisit all the biggest hits of that memorable era. You’re sure to be smiling and laughing when you hear your favorite tunes again, all in the great party atmosphere of the Willows Cabaret. You’ll be humming along in your seat and dancing in the aisles.
Then, we are pleased to bring you the perennial musical favorite You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown. This musical, based on the popular Peanuts comic strip by Charles M. Schulz, is sure to be a hit with young and old. Follow the adventures of Charlie Brown, Snoopy, and the whole gang in this funny and heartwarming production.
In this day and age, the line between fact and fiction seems to blur more and more and often the truth reads like a tabloid and the tabloids seem true. Our next musical, Six Women With Brain Death, or Expiring Minds Want to Know, examines that phenomenon through a series of hilarious skits and songs. Wildly popular in 1989 when we last produced the show, this delightfully irreverent musical skewers pop culture and will leave you in stitches.

And finally, for the holidays the nuns are back in the fabulously funny new musical NunSet Boulevard. The Little Sisters of Hoboken have long been audience favorites at the Willows Theatre and it’s only right that they join us at the Campbell to usher in a new era. This time the sisters are headed to Hollywood and they are taking the town by storm, as only the nuns can do.
